Friday Night Freestyle Frenzy

Diana Golden Series Level One Adaptive Race

The Golden Cup Series memorializes U.S. and World Champion skier Diana Golden and is intended to promote the sport of ski racing to disabled athletes on the East coast. Level I racing is for everyone; any person with a disability may participate. Racers do not need to have any prior racing experience. The atmosphere is relaxed and racers are encouraged to do there best, but most importantly, to have fun. Read more.

With this new twist on a traditional Sunday favorite skiers and riders can sleep in and still get to Bretton Woods in time to catch the first lift. Grab a doughnut or a something small as you head for the lift because as the latecomers start to hit the slopes you will have already gotten a few runs under your belt and you can kick back and enjoy a huge brunch and a Yellow Tail Sparkling Mimosa or an Absolute Bloody Mary! As the lunch crowd starts to roll into the base lodge you will be well fed and ready for fun afternoon of skiing and riding. Read more.

Martin Luther King, Jr. Holiday Weekend

The third Monday of every January is Martin Luther King, Jr. Weekend. Congress passed the holiday legislation in 1983, which was then signed into law by President Ronald Reagan. An extended weekend, many choose this time to relax and spend time with the family. On the grounds of the historic Mount Washington Hotel and the White Mountain National Forest, the Bretton Woods Nordic Center is one of the largest cross country areas in the East. The 100-km trail network crosses open fields, meanders through woods of spruce and fir, passes beaver ponds and mountain streams, and traverses open hardwood stands. Read more.

Vertical Challenge for Brain Injury Awareness

Once again Bretton Woods will be hosting the 6th Annual Vertical Challenge for Brain Injury Awareness on January 24, 2009. Last year’s event raised over $24,000 to support soldiers and their families who are living with a brain injury or stroke. Funding from this years event will also go to support soldiers, New Hampshire residents and their families. Read more.
